Andrew & Carol
Langham Place Hotel Hong Kong
24.04.2014
I am so happy to present you my first wedding in Hong Kong.
When I have decided to come back to my home, I always wonder when will my first wedding to be? So the second day after I have arrived Hong Kong, the first photographer I meet in my life (Kit Chan) rang me up and told me I have got a wedding job for you and I was like wowhhh!
Carol stayed at Langham Place Hotel where they are having their guest joining their big day the night before. It was a sunny morning in a 600 square foot hotel suites, Carol was getting ready in her bedroom while her bridemates were preparing the torture games adventures for Andrew and his warriors in the living room. Carol’s mum helped her to put on her mandarin gown and gave her a hug because that would be one of the last time that she is helping Carol with clothes.
Andrew had his car decorated with 2 bears tied at the font, his groomsmen were crazy about the red pockets before they went and challenge Carol and her bridemaids. It’s always good to watch them going through the torture games plus those are some new ones that I have never experience in Hong Kong! Obviously Andrew had to pay the entry fee to get into the living room. The first game was Andrew and his warriors had to use any ways but their hands to get rid of all the ping pong from the empty tissue box which was tied on the whist, and they had to get rid of them in a minute. The amount of remaining ones will equal the number of “punishment food” that they have to eat. It was fun capturing them shaking the ass and knocking each other out trying to get rid of the ping pongs! There were some cheatings on obviously but I feel sorry what they had to eat after! (although I don’t have a clue what they are – it does look horrible) The next game was drinking out with a long strew (connecting together with a few) from a tall glass, it was a competition so whoever finish last had to taste the yummy punishment again. Andrew helped them holding the strew since it was a long one which wasn’t easy to control it steady in the glass. It does look very hard and to be honest I wonder what it is in the drink as well! Finally they get to eat something more normal, with press up to clear a plate of cream, masshall mello with m&ms. Carol’s mum couldn’t stop laughing because one of them wasn’t very good with press ups which caused his face covered with cream!
After they have passed all the challenges, Andrew had to read out loud a list of things that he will promise to do outside Carol’s bedroom. (things like giving her all his wages, doing all the housework etc) He had to sign it and pass it to Carol’s bridesmate before they are allowed to meet. When everything was sorted, Carol walked out with her dad and Andrew could finally get his bride home! Before that they had their tea ceremony to thank Carol’s parents and Carol’s parents gave them a lot of gold and red pockets as gift to take it with them. Carol’s maid of honor opened the red umbrella for Carol to get into his car to his and eventually to his flat for tea ceremony.
They started some pre wedding photography at Lake Silver (Andrew’s house) then head to Kowloon waterfront promenade. It was by the sea where you can see the harbor of Hong Kong. Then they went back to Langham Place hotel to get change and have more pictures taken.
After that they had their group photos taken and have their big meal with all the guest. They ended with toes to end their big day.
They had their western wedding ceremony in Ritual chapel uluwatu before.
