Andrew & Tracey
The Mira Hotel Hong Kong
24.04.2014
On the day of Andrew and Carol, Keho was the official group shoot photographer of their day. We have become friends after working together, and he invited me to become a snap photographer on the day of Andrew and Tracey.
The day started with Tracey and her bridemates getting ready at her flat. She also had her family over to get involve in her big day.
Andrew surprised me when I first saw him, he wore a traditional chinese changshan on the day to pick Tracey up, that was one of the coolest costume I have seen in a chinese wedding. The most important part is I remember seeing him in the London Olympic opening ceremony, he was one of the assistant.
Andrew and Tracey had yellow flower as their icon for the day, I think it matches the bridemates dresses and groomsmen suit perfectly. When Andrew and his men has arrived Tracey’s, I get to watch and capture some new picking up brides game again. There were a few and one of them was to follow a dance move on a video from an ipad, the girls were definitely enjoying the show and I have to admit it was pretty funny. Then Andrew had to use his toes to pick up four given maijong from a bucket of ice water, his groomsmen had to have competition with wearing a leggings on their head to decided who will have lipstick on. Finally when they had passed through all the stages, Andrw get to read a contract made by Tracey’s bridemaids.
Tracey walked out with her dad after and Andrew took her over and gave her a deep kiss. They then had their chinese tea ceremony receiving red pockets and golds from Tracey’s parents and family. Tracey followed Andrew after to a Rolls Royce which has been decorated by Andrew before already and head to his for more tea ceremony session. Everyone was clapping their hands welcoming Andrew back successfully with his bride and Andrew’s parents look proud! They had a more chinese tradition ceremony, after they have passed Andrew’s parents and his side’s family (uncle and aunties) they gave each other a bow to end the session. They also had some pictures taken to celebrate the moments.
After we had lunch they went to the mira hotel at tsim shat sui to have their ceremony and say I do. Followed by purring a bottle of rose champagne into a set of glasses to share to the guest. Andrw had his sppech to thank his parents before the big meal and he thanks for all those years of support when he was in UK and of course Tracey’s effort for the relationship as well.
They have gone wild while going round all the tables giving each other a toes, it was always good to capture the couple when they relax themselves and get drunk.
