Hyatt Hotel Wedding

After watching some of my past videos, Christian and Jamie had me booked me in for their wedding day videographer through Keho’s recommendation.

Christian is from Copenhagen, Denmark and he had his grew up childhood friends over as his best men . Jamie also had one of her friend from America as her bridemaids.

The morning preparation started nice and early at Jamie’s apartment, her family was cooking Tangyuan and preparing all the jewelries, red pockets to give out later on. You can tell that Jamie is a blessed girl, she had a lot of pictures taken with her family stick on the wall. Jamie’s girls helped her to put on her red mandarin gown and she waited quietly in her room with her dad. Not long after, Christian arrived downstairs and before he went up, his men suit him up to make him look the best he can. It was a little different for this morning session because they didn’t plan to have any torture games since Christian doesn’t get all this. What he has prepared is the entrée fee, red pockets to give to the bridemaids to let him in.

Jamie’s parents gave them a watch each to put on in the tea ceremony, before they have Tangyuan and heads back to Christians to have another tea ceremony at his family’s side.

We realized Christian’s dad is a landscape photographer when we got to his, the wall was full of this printed pictures in high contrast. Anyway it was fun watching them doing the chinese tea ceremony because they are not so familiar with it so Keho and I have to guide them.

When they finished the session, we had lunch and head to the grand hyatt hong kong hotel in WanChai. I started my same day editing while the couple is having a rest.

In the evening Jamie put her wedding dress on and ready to have the wedding ceremony in front of all the guest who have arrived. Christian and Jamie had a little tea ceremony before to give it to uncles and aunties because they didn’t attend in the morning. Then everyone went into the dinning room except the couple. When everyone was sat, the MC announced the entrance of Christian and Jamie, they walked in with all the greetings and clippings from the guest. Then went up to the stage and say I do. Followed by putting the rings on each other and signing the papers. It was different for me to film a ceremony indoor at the evening. They cut the cake and toes everyone on the stage and drank the champagne with a crossing arm.

The evening meal started after and during it, there was lottery to make it more exciting. I showed the video I have edited for them and they liked it so it was played after the speech made by the groomsmen and bridemaids. After that Jamie got changed and went round to toes every tables with Christian to end their big day.
