Nick and Charing

Romantic Pre Wedding Film

19.02.2018

While I was still in UK, I have been doing research on the Hong Kong wedding photography so I know who I am competiting with. (For those who understand my language: Mainly Chesse burger really).. but I found this one very outstanding photographer, Kong Wai whose company is called History Studio.

After spending an hour looking through his website I have made my mind up: If I have to team up with someone it has got to be him in Hong Kong. So I messaged him tell him who I am thinking he is probably very likely to ignore me but within 5 minutes I got a reply! Not only he thanks me for liking his work but also giving me compliment on my wedding video work with my fellow one wedding partners: Tommy P and Milky B

I told him I will be heading back to Hong Kong for good and will probably try to settle there with carrying on with what I am doing. I also told him that I would like to do partnership with him so we picked a date to meet up and the day we meet up gave us the opportunity to work together on Nick and Charing’s pre wedding photoshoot!

We headed to the Victoria Peak Garden to start the day with, Nick and Charing was one of the most attractive and fun couple that I have ever meet in Hong Kong. They had quite a few blown up ballons which flows in the air, they were colorful and fun and especially look nice in our cameras. On the way Nick kept winding Charing up but it’s like that’s how they get along. Charing just pushed Nick away if his jokes have taken a bit too far but within 2 seconds they are back in one again. I have to say the Peak Garden has become one of my favourite place in Hong Kong because of it’s tress, it’s very rare that you can find such tall ones in Hong Kong with grasses around it. We kept shooting and walking down, time seems to go quick because we were enjoying so much in this photoshoot. Even the time we had to wait for the ballons to be still (it was very windy whenever Kong wants to take some pictures with the balloons and they were blocking Nick and Charing’s faces) After we have got what we needed we had lunch and went to the other side of Hong Kong, Tung Ping Chau.

We found out Charing grew up in this place when she was young and to get there we had to get the ferry. When we got there, she got changed into her white dress (my favourite color on women) and Nick changed from light blue into dark. It is another cool place that we have discovered. With Charing’s guiding, it didn’t look difficult to get to one location from another but I swear if I ever go there again I will be lost.. Anyway there is a vintage house which looks prefect for pictures and after that we went to the beach side. Nick and Charing decided to get on the rocks by it first tho so feel the windy wind bringing the sea smell. I guessed that’s what Charing would do when she was living here as a little girl? Then they walked down and just taking their romantic time walking by the beach with sunset. It was another beauty scene I have seen in HK.
