Wedding Photo and Video

Cotton Tree Drive wedding ceremonies are very popular in Hong Kong and it’s easy to see why when you see the smiling faces of Emmeline and Keisuke.

This happy couple booked us to cover their wedding photography and video for their half day event and they were a pleasure to work with from start to finish.

From the moment we arrived we knew Emmeline and Keisuke would be easy to photograph and we would get some brilliant photographs for them.

When a couple books us for both wedding photography and video we are always confident that we can provide them with great documentation of their wedding day.

Just scroll through this blog post to see their Cotton Tree Drive wedding in all its glory.

The Wedding Day Locations

Emmeline and Keisuke chose a great variety of venues and locations for their wedding.

Choosing more than one venue for your wedding can provide a variance to your photos and video that otherwise wouldn’t be possible.

Additionally our couple chose outdoor locations and as you can see from the photos this makes for spectacular results. We are big fans of natural light photography so getting to work outside is something that we really look forward to as Hong Kong wedding photographers.

Cotton Tree Drive

This particular road is famous for the Cotton Tree Drive Marriage Registry which is a hotspot for wedding registrations inside Hong Kong Park. Cotton Tree Drive Marriage Registry is one of the most popular sites in Hong Kong for happy couples to seal their wedding vows. Couples celebrate their wedding here with an Official Deputy Registrar of Marriage who will sign your Hong Kong Marriage Certificate. Emmeline and Keisuke chose this 19th century building to declare their love for one another in front of their family and friends.

Hong Kong Park

Cotton Tree Drive Marriage Registry is located within Hong Kong Park which is surrounded by tall skyscrapers blending the old with the new. The area benefits from various homages to notable places from around the world.  This beautifully natural setting nestled amongst an urban landscape is an amazing place to take wedding photos. The park also benefits from an aviary, a greenhouse, fountains, lily ponds which make great backdrops.

Brick Lane (Admiralty)

Brick Lane Admiralty brings the eclectic mix of British gastronomy and the vibrant atmosphere of London’s Brick Lane to Hong Kong. Brick Lane can accommodate up to 200 guests which makes it a perfect choice of venue for couples getting married in Hong Kong. They offer exclusive hire of the wedding venue so you can rest assured that yours will be the only wedding taking place on that date. Brick Lane provided the perfect compliment to Emmeline and Keisuke’s Cotton Tree Drive wedding. The venue is situated a short walk from the Marriage Registry which always makes for a relaxed atmosphere to a wedding.

Cotton Tree Drive Wedding Video

As you can see from watching this Cotton Tree Drive wedding video it can be another great way to relive your special day.

Our video team did a great job of blending some heartfelt speeches with special moments from throughout the day.

A wedding ceremony goes by so quickly and a video document is  a great way to watch back your wedding vows to one another. With the pressure of all eyes being on you it could mean you’ve slightly forgot how you felt in that moment but with a video its clear to see.

A wedding video is an amazing way to capture those special moments from your wedding day and really brings those feelings back to life.

How The Wedding Day Unfolded

Because Emmeline and Keisuke booked us for half day wedding photography and video there were inevitably parts of the day that didn’t get photographed or videoed.

However, this didn’t detract from their overall coverage and we still managed to capture what they prioritised from their day such as the Ceremony and Speeches.

Bridal Prep

Emmeline started to get ready at around 6am at the Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong. By the time we arrived her makeup was complete and she had just changed in to her stunning wedding gown. We got some great shots of Emmeline’s Mum helping out with the final touches to jewellery. Additionally Emmeline’s Dad made for some amazingly heartfelt shots with his daughter. Our job as Hong Kong wedding photographers really does become that much easier when everyone has beaming smiles on their faces.

Cotton Tree Drive Marriage Registry

As previously mentioned Emmeline and Keisuke chose the Cotton Tree Drive Marriage Registry to exchange their vows. This was the first time Keisuke had seen his bride to be in her wedding dress and his reaction was simply priceless. As with most Registry Ceremonies it was over in the blink of an eye which is why we always recommend our video services so that you can relive those special moments.

Photos in Hong Kong Park

As you will know from our portfolio of weddings we are always drawn to the natural backdrops of parks and countryside. Incorporating them in to our wedding photography is something that we always try to do. Emmeline and Keisuke’s wedding was easy in that regard as you can point your camera anywhere in Hong Kong Park and it will look amazing. We did a few variations of family photos with the heart shaped sculpture as a backdrop and the couple were really happy with the results. In addition we also captured some intimate images of the happy couple in amongst the greenery which turned out great.

Brick Lane Admiralty

The roof terrace at Brick Lane is a really great option for an intimate wedding such as Emmeline and Keisuke’s. One long table provided the perfect setting to host this wedding as everyone could gather round and chat whilst enjoying the canapés. The decoration of the venue looked simply amazing and the couples names displayed on the green background added to that outdoor vibe that they were going for.

Heartfelt Speeches

As you can see from the wedding video Emmeline’s Dad really tugged at the heart strings with his emotional speeches. We simply love documenting the speeches as it is always a great opportunity to catch people off guard and get some amazing natural photographs. There were lots more smiling faces and loving hugs especially when Keisuke got up and sang a song to his beloved wife. We wrapped up the day with a few fun shots in front of their decorative backdrop. They continued there celebrations with a banquet at Sportful Garden Restaurant and we were assured they had a fabulous time partying the night away.

We offer both pre wedding and wedding day photography services. If you want to read a little more about our services please visit our photography page.
