Cordis Hotel weddings are always an absolute pleasure for us to capture as a team of wedding photographers. The venues grand interiors combined with its close proximity to stunning outdoor locations make it the perfect choice for couples getting married in Hong Kong.

Having photographed Kathy and Stephen for their pre wedding shoot at Yakushima Island in Japan we already knew them quite well ahead of their big day.

Their wedding at the Cordis Hotel was a really special occasion with close family and friends gathering to help celebrate.

Kathy and Stephen prioritised some extra time in the day for some outdoor portraits which was an excellent idea. With the weather being so nice at this mid January wedding it really made for some stunning wedding photos which we hope they will treasure for a life time.

The hotels versatile venues make it the perfect choice for large weddings of up to 600 guest whilst it can equally accommodate more intimate parties without the venue feeling too big.

Kathy and Stephen chose the Star Room as the setting for their wedding Ceremony. With its panoramic views of the Kowloon peninsula and Hong Kong Island from this 42nd floor venue it was the perfect place for this happy couple to declare their love.

The Star Room is one of the Cordis Hotel’s most popular picturesque venues and is ideal for both small and large wedding parties.

Stephen and Kathy did a great job of choosing details to decorate the venue which made our job as photographers super easy. The cake and sweet table were mouth watering and the view from this glorious venue speaks for itself.

Lai Chi Kok Park

Whilst we are predominantly documentary wedding photographers we do love getting amongst nature to create some beautiful fine art portraits.

Kathy and Stephen decided that they wanted to allocate some time in their day to head over to Lai Chi Kok Park for some portrait and bridal party shots.

The park is a beautiful location for wedding day photos with various types of trees and pale green tones.

We love photographing our couples amongst nature as it gives a really romantic feel to the imagery. In addition, taking photos outside with natural light makes for soft flattering images which our couples always appreciate.

As well as capturing some stunning bride and groom portraits we also had a bit of fun with the bridesmaids and groomsmen. Creating some memorable images which this group of friends can cherish forever is another aspect of wedding photography that we really love.

Cordis Hotel Wedding Video

We love it when couples book us for both photo and video. Our team has worked together at hundreds of different weddings and our photo and video package gives the most complete coverage of your day.

Whilst we have photographed weddings at this venue before this was our first time making a Cordis Hotel wedding video. We like to incorporate audio elements in to our highlights videos in order to evoke an emotional response when the couple watches it back. Kathy’s parents provided some wonderfully heartfelt moments which are now captured on camera forever.

As it happens Kathy and Stephen chose a same day edit which meant we got to see them watching it back at the evening reception. This is very special to us as a team as we get to see the pay off from all our hard work from throughout the day.

Our video team had a bit of fun with the groomsmen as they wore Eddie Peng masks and danced for the camera, this really got everyone laughing when they watched it back. This kind of idea really adds to the wedding video and gives it a fun at the same time it makes our job more enjoyable when we’re editing if everyone is having a great time.

The photo shoot meant that our videographer team could get some really creative shots with the glidecam. These type of shots add a really cinematic feel to the final video and Kathy and Stephen rocked it!

Kathy sourced her beautiful 2017 Anya Fleet wedding dress from Circle Weddings who pride themselves on curating a unique selection of designers from all over the world. I think we can all agree that Kathy looked amazing in her white wedding dress and it made our job as photographers easy peasy.

Grooms Suit

Stephen opted for a classic style with a modern 21st century twist with his suit from Hola Classic . This suit designer has an open workshop at the back of his store which means you can see the skilled tailors working hard on your threads.
